A. Hey, how are you? I am doing great.

A. Artis D. Smith

Q. Where are you from, and where do you live now?
A. I was born in Chicago, raised in Kansas City and currently reside in Las Vegas.

Q. How long have you been in the music industry?
A. For over 20 years

Q. How did you get started in the music business?
A. In high school I played in the marching band but realized after a talent show the singers got all the attention. I started singing then. However several years later I ran into some guys that were forming a singing group. I joined and became a member of the group 4Real. My music career took off from there.

Q. What do you think about the music business?
A. It has ups and has downs. It is not an easy industry to learn. It is not just about singing or even writing there is so much more that goes on behind the scenes.

Q. We see your legal name is Artis, but do you consider yourself as an artist, or a performer?
A. One of my favorite phrases when introducing myself is my Name is not just Artis I am an artist. I love to sing, write and a little known fact: decorate and draw.

Q. Do you have any shows coming up where fans can see you perform?
A. I don’t currently have anything scheduled but I am working on it.

Q. Tell us about your journey so far in the music business. What would you say is your greatest musical achievement, and how did you arrive at this point?
A. For many years I have been singing in groups, both R&B and Gospel. I am now a solo artist. When you are accustomed to being part of a group it is different to be on the stage alone. I am enjoying the journey. I have met some great individuals along the way. I will say my greatest musical achievement was winning a steeple award as part of a gospel group.

Wishing by Relus Baum Ft RaphaelRJ2

Wishing by Relus Baum Ft RaphaelRJ2

When we first heard this song we were instantly transported back in time, and brought right back to the future in the very same moment. With a 90’s throwback Pop melody, for the hook, “Wishing” is a super catchy, singalong song, and when the beat drops it does more than pop, it sizzles. Relus Baum’s super smooth baritone vocals, mixed with the pure platinum vocals of @RaphaelRJ2 of Grammy Award winning “Beats How U Want Em”, makes an instant hit. This is a really big record. One of the biggest records we’ve heard this year.
