Wishing by Relus Baum Ft RaphaelRJ2

When we first heard this song we were instantly transported back in time, and brought right back to the future in the very same moment. With a 90’s throwback Pop melody, for the hook, “Wishing” is a super catchy, singalong song, and when the beat drops it does more than pop, it sizzles. Relus Baum’s super smooth baritone vocals, mixed with the pure platinum vocals of @RaphaelRJ2 of Grammy Award winning “Beats How U Want Em”, makes an instant hit. This is a really big record. One of the biggest records we’ve heard this year.

Meet Young Dolph @YoungDolph

Adolph Thornton Jr., better known as Young Dolph, was born in Chicago, IL on August 11, 1985 to drug addicted parents. At the age of 3, Young Dolph’s grandmother (Ida Mae) uprooted him from the streets of Chicago to the Southside of Memphis, TN with hopes of having a better lifestyle for him and his siblings.  By the age of 16, Young Dolph earned much respect in the drug infested, gang-related neighborhood of Castalia Heights.  Doing whatever he could to survive, Dolph chose the street life where he found himself taking care of his entire family.  In 2008 he had a reality check as he survived a fatal car accident that nearly took his life. Later, his grandmother passed away from lung cancer. It was these series of incidents that made Dolph take his life and career more serious. With so much going on, he found comfort in the studio where he decided to release his pain through his music. In 2009 he dropped his first mixtape called Paper Route Campaign. Shortly after, he released Welcome To DolphWorld hosted by DJ Scream which took his rap career to the next level. WithWelcome To DolphWorld blazing the streets of Memphis, Dolph formed his own record label, Paper Route Empire. Under his own label, he has released 5 more mixtapes entitled HighClass StreetMusicHighClass StreetMusic 2A Time 2 KillBlue Magic, and HighClass StreetMusic 3. Young Dolph is one of the hottest independent artists in the south.  He has been featured with some of the top artist in the game, including Juicy J, 2 Chainz, Paul Wall, and Gucci Mane. Young Dolph continues to grind and hustle as he feeds the streets what they’ve been missing! (Source: http://youngdolph.com/bio/)

Adrian Younge is Making Mischief

When you can add Snoop Dogg (aka Snoop Lion) to your track you know it must be good. Souls of Mischief and Adrian Younge are about to drop a new album on August 29th releases on Linear Labs. The album also features Busta Rhymes and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. This old school production may be what is needed to keep the Hip Hop movement in a positive direction. Check out the single “There Is Only Now.”

Amp Live – Will Nickel Dime You

The saying goes “A penny for your thoughts.” However, Amp Live aims to “Penny Nickel Dime” you with the title of his latest track. There’s a moral to these lyrics, and it does not disappoint. Be careful for what you wish for because you just might get it. The video shows you the value of money when a mysterious stranger makes an irresistable offering to a woman panhandling on the street. The track features vocals by Any and Prof who add to the pulsating beat.

The track comes from Amp Live’s upcoming album “Headphone Concerto,” the anticipated third solo studio LP. Amp. a DJ and producer, is also known as the other half of power duo Zion I. He gained individual fame when his 2008 release of “Rainydayz Remixes,” an unauthorized remix of Radiohead’s “In Rainbows” album. This action prompted a cease and desist from Radiohead’s music publisher, but that didn’t stop Amp from forging ahead with the project. Both parties reached a settlement, and garnered him additional remix projects for Green Day, Tokyo Police Club, and a few others.

The album drops August 5th courtesy of Plug Research. If you like what you hear, leave a comment below. Don’t forget to #Share and #Tweet.

Meet Currenci

Currenci’s video, “Nuh Born See Riches,” is a hardcore, riddim dance track. This is definitely a high-octane beat that will certainly have the clubs jumping. The video is stylized and a good message. Not everyone is born to be rich. You must work for everything you have.

It shows the struggle of a mother, trying to take care of her family. Anyone can relate to this song. We are all experiencing the downturn the economy around the world. Currenci, a 22-year old recording artist, from Annotto Bay, St. Mary is certain to rise in the industry with this song. Request this artist to appear in a showcase in your city soon.

Supa-Que @SupaQue1

His single, “TerraZONA,” is a homage to his love for the Arizona lifestyle. His sound falls somewhere in between the hardcore and passion of what Hip Hop was, and that’s telling a story.
