Adrian Younge is Making Mischief

When you can add Snoop Dogg (aka Snoop Lion) to your track you know it must be good. Souls of Mischief and Adrian Younge are about to drop a new album on August 29th releases on Linear Labs. The album also features Busta Rhymes and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. This old school production may be what is needed to keep the Hip Hop movement in a positive direction. Check out the single “There Is Only Now.”

Amp Live – Will Nickel Dime You

The saying goes “A penny for your thoughts.” However, Amp Live aims to “Penny Nickel Dime” you with the title of his latest track. There’s a moral to these lyrics, and it does not disappoint. Be careful for what you wish for because you just might get it. The video shows you the value of money when a mysterious stranger makes an irresistable offering to a woman panhandling on the street. The track features vocals by Any and Prof who add to the pulsating beat.

The track comes from Amp Live’s upcoming album “Headphone Concerto,” the anticipated third solo studio LP. Amp. a DJ and producer, is also known as the other half of power duo Zion I. He gained individual fame when his 2008 release of “Rainydayz Remixes,” an unauthorized remix of Radiohead’s “In Rainbows” album. This action prompted a cease and desist from Radiohead’s music publisher, but that didn’t stop Amp from forging ahead with the project. Both parties reached a settlement, and garnered him additional remix projects for Green Day, Tokyo Police Club, and a few others.

The album drops August 5th courtesy of Plug Research. If you like what you hear, leave a comment below. Don’t forget to #Share and #Tweet.
